"Some idiots caught whitecough, and I heard it's spreading. Mom, I think it'll be a good idea to get it checked just in case." Antpaw tries his best not to sound too caring or concerned- that wasn't cool, and it was embarrassing. Then his ears twitch and he flicks his tail as he hears the words 'new mentor'.

"I don't know." Antpaw meows in reply to Flowernose's question, "It hasn't been long since Sunflowerswirl just disappeared from the last patrol, so I'm not even sure if I will get a new mentor before she comes back."

Despite his dislike of Sunflowerswirl, his voice has no worry and he is firm in his belief that the warrior will not be in any harm. Though he was dissatisfied with her as a mentor, she was still a warrior, after all, and they weren't even patrolling a dangerous part of the clan territory at the time of her disappearance. Yes, she was surely safe. She probably just forgot and took a nap on a too-cozy rock or something. Antpaw's only worry is that he won't be granted a new mentor before she returns.

Flowernose leaned back a bit at the word 'idiots' but quickly recovered. "I'm sure I'll be fine." She meowed and shrugged it off. Hawkthorn cleared his throat. "Your mother can get through anything." He meowed then leaned forward slightly. "Mostly." He whispered. Flowernose smacked her mate's head and stood up. "Well, I'm sure that your new mentor will be great, whether it be," Flowernose meowed and glared at both of the toms, "it be Sunflowerswirl or not."
