It was a brisk day, and not for the first time, Blazing Sun was thankful for her thick coat. She sat atop the Meeting Rock, both soaking up the sun's rays and keeping a sharp eye out for trouble. The Pack may have been small, but that didn't mean things couldn't stir right under her nose. Her gaze flitted over the camp, back and forth and back and forth.

He supposed it has been quite peaceful lately. Life went on, the days grew shorter and the world...it was just a little colder every sunset. Winter was coming, whether they liked it or not, it won't change. It won't be before long, the world would be blanketed in an icy cold blanket of snow. In actuality, Frost Fang may have preferred it that way, but it was common knowledge that the ice brought death and starvation. That in particular, wasn't something he wanted to experience again.

This year around, their pack was small, not dwindling but just a good size, and should be relatively easy to sustain. Or at least he'd prayed. The dark agouti husky watched his leader's eyes darted back and forth upon the camp. Usual business, he guessed before swiftly making his way around to the Meeting Rock. Before approaching, Frost Fang had made his presence known with a tap of his claws on the rock.

"It's calm, ain't it? 'lways calm before a storm." A low toned voice rumbled slowly as he settled himself a few tails away, staring down at the view Blazing Sun so often looked at. The height kind of irked him, but he didn't let it show.
