@snowflake.
Just as the tom was going to call for Snowpaw he felt a ball of fur brush against his front legs before feeling something wrap around his neck, he hadn't even heard the booming call of his name, he was so wrapped up in Sparrowpelt showin up a little late (he'd cut the tom slack, guy just had kits and even though he's not a father he sure does know what that's like now.) But his apprentice was still missing. Hopefully the patrol would go on without her...he'd have to take her to the territories himself.
Looking down with a start, he noticed his daughter. Taking a moment to figure out what exactly she was doing. It felt familiar, and he would be lying if he said it didn't feel like he was hugging Asterdance. But Asterdance wasn't here, the fur was wrong and the brat was shorter than they were when they were an apprentice. Thoughtlessly he moved to pat his paw to her back, if she hadn't squirmed away she'd get gentle back pats. "I'm in charge of the Sick camp kid. Can't be here and there at the same time. Ain't how that works." he stated, shifting his weight as she clambered over top of him. Not truly noticing that she was now draped across his back.
"Mantiskit an Mitekit didn't get to be apprentices either...since they're sick." he paused, shotting her a narrow eyed look. "But they didn't get a choice in whether or not they got to become Apprentices...you did. An you botched it by goin to the Gatherin. You an' Cricketkit." he stated plainly.
After a moment he let out a sigh. Once he found Snowpaw...she'd be in for a heap of trouble.

"Can't I help?"
She enjoyed the feeling of back pats, it made her smile bright before she had clambered onto his back and spread out wide to look out over the clearing from in between his ears, before her eyes cast downwards to look at her father's face from up above.
She let out an feigned shocked gasp at his next words, dramatically slapping a paw to her forehead and leaning back almost enough to fall off Spiderthroat's back. She let a loud sigh, as if horrible news had been shared.
"I never asked Cricketkit to come with-"
She hadn't, in fact, it was meant to be her escapade and hers only.
"-N I just wanted to be with you. Tha' can't be such a horrible crime."
A pout, her lip covering the other. In all regards getting to the gathering was worth the delayed ceremony, she didn't regret it, even if Aunty Bumble was kinda a party killer for still being mad about that. She huffed a breath.
"But 'tis fine. Maybe I did it so Mants and Mits wouldn't be alone to miss their ceremonies."
She knew that was nonsense, the epidemic having started much after her little trip. But a proud smile still spread across her maw, evidently unbothered while she hung on to her father.
