Once the two cats had reached the river, Primroseadder didn´t hesitate before leaping into the icy waters. A shiver ran up the warrior´s spine as she dived under, clamping her jaws around a plump carp, despite it being nearly leaf-bare.

Primroseadder resurfaced with the carp between her jaws, hauling herself onto the bank where her former mentor stood with a bluejay. The she-cat shook out her pelt. She wouldn´t have minded her wet pelt if the water hadn´t been so cold. She pressed close to Adderstrike until she had warmed up.
