It wasn't supposed to come out quite like that but...she didn't really regret it. For some reason, she just had to know. Was she the only one who enjoyed the quite of the night, when the whole world was just as detached and hazy as she felt when she was alone, or alone among friends.
Would she be angry if he said no? Or relieved? She didn't want to be angry or disappointed but how could she hope for him to be something he wasn't...
