Frostpaw was walking out of the apprentice den, just having woken up. He looked at the clear sky and smiled. He loved the feel of the cold and the snow under his paws. He was like a ball of sunshine. He looked around the camp, scouting potential friends. That’s when his gaze finally set upon a certain apprentice. They had this look to them and he was intrigued by them. They were like the total opposite of him, or at least, that’s what they look like. He walked over to the cat. “Hello! I’m Frostpaw!” He said rather cheerfully, a bright smile on his face.

Magpiepaw looked up from their laying position. Who..? Oh. Frostpaw. Magpie's eyes searched Frostpaw's face to memorize the expression. Was he.. happy? To see.. me? The apprentice shook their head and offered a smile back. Though, it looked awkward. Almost like they've never smiled before.

"I'm Magpiepaw. You can call me Magpie or Maggie, if you'd like. I guess." They didn't know what to make of the other apprentice. Cheerful. TOO cheerful in fact. Were they okay? Did some kind of new plague hit the clan? Maggie sat up, curling their tail around them. Their feet were cold. Oh the horrible wonders of leaf-bare. They forgot to say the line! Oh gosh! "Oh. Uhm. It's nice.. to talk to you." Magpie's facial expression showed a small hint of happiness.
