The meeting felt... normal? Almost? Hollowpaw almost forgot what it was like to attend a Clan meeting, he hasn't been to one in so long. Apprentice ceremonies and reassignments come, and the medicine apprentice can't help the way he thinks back to his own ceremony, how Bumblestar had been interrupted in her announcement of the new medicine cats by a vision from StarClan that demanded
he be made the medicine apprentice alongside Wolfhawk. It had been jarring. He had felt important.
His train of thought is interrupted by the announcement of the lives the sickness had claimed, among them is his sister, Bravepaw. He shrinks in on himself a little at that, and at the other names spoken. Cats he could have saved. Cats he
should have saved.
Bumblestar sways on the Stormcrest, faltering over Wolfhive's name. Hollowpaw is on his feet, but he isn't close enough to get to her before she's intercepted by Spiderthroat and then passed along to Mudhound. Hollowpaw hesitates. Mudhound and Violetfreckle have it handled... if they need help... if they
want help, they'll ask. Probably. He should stay away.
Pale eyes flick over the crowd of anxious cats beneath the Stormcrest until they settle on one of the new apprentices. She'd gotten a rename to Doepaw, tripping or something and coming away holding her paw up like she was in pain. This is something tangible. Something he can do now. Something he won't screw up. And, even if he does, it's not like she's going to die from a hurt paw... probably.
Without waiting for Wolfhawk's permission, the apprentice strides forward on still-weak legs, and levels sharp gaze at the girl.
"What did you do." Though he doesn't phrase it as such, it's still a question. Stellar communication skills over here.
