Fernwhisper had tried to introduce herself to Lightningpaw and when that failed, she figured that maaybe Lightningpaw isn’t listening, she did seem to be ignoring everything around. Before she could address that however the new apprentices were announced with their mentors, Fernwhisper joined the cheers, a bit less enthusiastically than everyone else, keeping an eye on Lightningpaw.
Then came the death announcements. So many young cats. Then Bumblestar stopped midword, too close to the Stormcrests edge for Fernwhispers liking. Standing up and weaving through the crowd Fernwhisper neared the Stormcrest, some gathered cats already at the base of it, to minimize a fall perhaps? Fernwhisper didn’t join them, it seemed packed already.
Going to the side of the Stormcrest Fernwhisper debated climbing on top of it to try to get to Bumblestar, but then what? How would-
Oh. Spiderthroats already there, the deputy had already gotten to Bumblestar a moment ago and Mudhound was already carrying the leader.
Fernwhisper looked to where the Hornet was carrying the leader. Contemplating what Spiderthroat was saying she made her way back to Lightningpaw.
