Sparrowpelt sat quietly, listening to the announcements and noting how Bumblestar was holding herself up. No one understand grief than those who'd truly experienced it. The tom knew all too well what it felt like after losing his mate and now his daughter had been exiled from the clan. His family was ripped away from him one by one. And so, when he'd cast a glance at Drizzlecloud and Frogkit, he'd feel a clench around his heart. He couldn't lose them too; he got a second chance at this father thing.

His tail flicked as he looked upwards towards Bumblestar announcing new apprentices. He was assigned yet another apprentice. Was this one going to be different from the last two? Mushroompaw was dead -- he was still bitter about that -- and Snowpaw had up and left, never to be heard from again. How would Lynxpaw fair? He'd cast a glance in that one's direction, offering a small smile he they acknowledged him.

Then she'd start listing off the those they lost. So many young... that was unfortunate. Wolfhive must've been the last one she was trying to say but couldn't. He understood that. However, he grew concerned as she tilted towards the edge of the Stormcrest, his body tensed, ready to dart forward if needed, but it appeared some of his clanmates would beat him to it. He'd watch and wait, ready to spring if asked.
