The she-kit tilted her fluffy head to the side, in her yellow eyes, unexplainable trust sparked.
Shiverkit nodded subtly. "Yes... I'm better." Her voice was still a bit raspy, but she certainly didn't carry the scent of sickness on herself.
Still, Shiverkit looked too small for her age, and the only thing that made her look sturdier was her fluffed up coat. Under that, awfully scrawny and bony.
Maybe the other kits stole her food, or maybe she was too cautious and feared she might get beaten easily and get her fresh-kill stolen by the others. Too afraid, too cautious, too paranoid.
