Irisdream noticed that Duskleaf slowed down for her, and she lowered her ears guiltily. She hated that he had to do that for her, she was the older warrior between the two of them dammit! She should be able to do something like this! But still, she was grateful. And she cast a small smile and a warm blink towards Duskleaf in gratitude as she made her way to the finish line with him. Crossing it together, though she’d never have expressed it first, was her preference too. They started together after all, it felt right that they finish this out together too. And then I’m never doing something this hare-brained again. She came, she saw, it was every bit as embarrassing as she thought it would be.
