Primroseadder closed her eyes, taking a deep breath before stepping into the den and beginning to speak. ''I know that you're likely still upset about the Gathering, but if I don't bring this up, another cat will,'' She met Owlstar's half-blind gaze, her ears twitching as she sat down. ''While I like Berryshine, you cannot deny that Cobwebstorm was as great a medicine cat as she is. Her demotion at the Gathering took every cat who went with you by surprise, including myself.''

''Ever since we returned to our territory, I can't help but feel as if the other three Clans have been taking every chance they can get their paws on to boss us around---ThunderClan, especially,'' Owlstar giving in so easily---willingly---to Bumblestar's demands at the Gathering had only proved Primroseadder right, not wrong. ''I get why WindClan wants recompensation, as Grayowl and Morningpaw killed one of their own and our cats are to blame for that. But ThunderClan? What have we done to them for Bumblestar to demand that we demote our medicine cat? To demand their so-called 'recompensation?' If anything, ThunderClan should be recompensating RiverClan for the damage they did to us, goin' through a starsdamned plague or not. They attacked Larkwing, they should've given us herbs.''

Primroseadder was at a loss for breath after the words rolled out of her mouth. ''You may not have been thinking about it, Owlstar, but I---and likely others---have. If you haven't noticed, RiverClan is being treated like prey by the other Clans---by ThunderClan. We're being bullied, pushed around. We've had too many leadership changes, and I think Bumblestar is seeing that as a sign of weakness and vulnerability---Dawnstar, too, even if she doesn't show it. I'm sick and tired of it, and I want somethin' to be done.''

''I'm not telling you to do somethin' about it, I am simply coming and telling you about how I feel. No offense, but I feel like you gave into Bumblestar's demands too easily---you pulled Cobwebstorm's position out from underneath her paws without giving her a damn warning, and on the word of the ThunderClan leader! Bumblestar's probably the worst of 'em all, Owlstar,'' Primroseadder took a deep breath. ''We're---We're upset, Owlstar. We're upset that Cobwebstorm is being ripped from her position as a medicine cat just because Bumblestar said so. We're letting ThunderClan walk all over us, demotin' her.''
