Nettlepaw sat at the edge of the clearing, their shiny rock between their paws like a bird staring at its egg. They didn’t normally bring it out with them, since it was a very important trophy of their amazingness and stuff. Or whatever. Nettlepaw didn’t actually really care about why they had it, but they were keeping a close eye on it. Hopefully nobody would try to take it, or even break it. No, no, Nettlepaw was too tall and scary for that! Nobody would dare try to do that with them around!

Their ankle was doing a lot better, so maybe tomorrow they’d check in with the medicine cats to see if they were ready to go back to their normal duties. That’d be good — finally, Nettlepaw could become a warrior! That is, if Bumblestar actually approved of them at all..

..you know, Nettlepaw would be outraged if they got a terrible warrior name. All this work for something like Nettleflick; yuck, what did that name even mean?- oh, wait. Nettlepaw had already had this conversation with themself before. But some names were starting to grow on them..

They wanted a name that would sound nice — Nettlepounce, Nettledawn, Nettledawn maybe? Ooh, that was a good one. Even if it did remind them of a certain.. Shadowclan leader.. it was a great name nonetheless! Oh, the possibilities were endless! But for now, Nettlepaw was just relaxing while they still could — lots of cool things were going to happen soon! At least, they thought they’d be cool things. Hopefully.
