roachflare took his spot at the front of the group, leading them into the territory wordlessly before coming to a halt between two large trees. moss crawling up the sides, roach glanced upwards briefly before facing wormbelly and stormypaw. "st-stormypaw..with me. wormbelly r-r-return here" he forced out, mismatched eyes pressed shut as embarassment burned hot and heavy up bugs neck. as if it wasnt bad enough that every word felt impossibly big in his throat..
the small cat squared his shoulders in an attempt to maintain some authority despite his size and speech impediment, before padding off in search of chervil and blessed thistle. he recalled what sleepysunrise had said; a thorny shrub with pricked leaves, adorned with yellow and red flowers the shape of spiders. chervil he had seen before, small, smooth green leaves. the exactly she provided had been helpful nonetheless, as bug wasnt really one for remembering any of the leafy greens they collected.

"have you..done a h-herb patrol before..stormypaw?" they broke the silence, words barely above a mutter while bugs eyes remained focussed on the bush he was nosing at. hopefully sleepysunrise wouldnt be disappointed, it didnt look like bug was going to find much. the first usable chervil plant was surprisingly easy to find and uproot but such luck was expectedly followed by a whole bunch of failures. he was almost ready to give up when he came across a plant similar to what sleepysunrise had described as blessed thistle. they stared for a moment. had sleepysunrise mentioned which part? before selecting what looked the most logical.
