Sprucekit had been sitting by herself as usual when Speckledpaw padded into the nursery. She was broken out of her daydreams when he spoke. It looked like Copperkit made a new friend, and an apprentice at that! She was so lucky. The tortoiseshell got to her feet and padded over.
"Hello? Are you looking for a queen?" she asked, her voice quiet.
