''The kit was more of a tortoiseshell---'n sick, too---'n the loner...I can't quite remember what she looked like, but at least she had the sense ta take the kit 'n leave when told.''

''I did give 'er a warnin' that if she didn't take the kit 'n leave when I told 'er ta, then I'd use force on 'er alone, 'cause I don't attack kits; it's unhonorable,'' the she-cat's ears twitched, and she looked at her leader as she spoke. ''I did advise 'er not ta cross inta ShadowClan territory, 'cause Dawnstar's warriors would handle 'em a different way than we do, 'n I didn't want ta see the kit get hurt due to the shadowrats, y'know? They left, though. Just wanted ta give ya a report.''
