Opon hearing the dainty voice of Berryshine, soft and cautious, Owlstar lifted her head from her paws. "Aye squirt, c'mon in."

Berryshine slipped inside, blinking to adjust to the darkness. The den looked even more cozy than last time she'd been in here; Owlstar had truly made it her own these past few moons. Or perhaps she'd just adjusted to leadership well, taking on the burden only few could carry.

The medicine cat approached her leader and respectfully dipped her head in greeting, tail tip twitching. "Hi, thanks. I... just wanted to report to you. A-A warrior of ours—Tigerfire—c-came into camp bleeding and looking pretty wrecked. I healed her up, a-and she's resting now, but what she told me concerns me. Thought m-maybe you should know."

Ears flicking, the small brown molly shifted on her paws, as if nervous of what she had to say. It wasn't the best news to deliver.

"Well... Tigerfire's paw got caught in this sort of... trap, thing. She said it looked like some w-weird Twoleg contraption. We think it was o-only meant for prey, because it was so small a-and she was able to escape out of it herself. But just wanted to inform you, in case..." Berryshine paused, taking in a breath. "She also mentioned that a rogue had slipped by and clawed at her eyes. D-Didn't get to see where they went or what they looked like. I don't know if it was a one-off thing or not, s-so... figured I should tell you."

Berryshine's job put her in the unique position of getting all sorts of cases and hearing many stories of how things happened... and some where concerning enough to be brought to the leader. Hopefully, this was all just a freak incident, and she was simply bringing it up and nothing else would happen.
