She practiced this, she needed to show her leader that she was a respectable and smart and reliable. Rosekit stopped in front of the leader and after offering a small dip of her head in polite greeting jumped right into this supposed Flower Guard. "Yes! I'm the head of the guard, and while we maybe don't have any members right now... I will soon!" The kitten wouldn't mumble because that wasn't proper but she wouldn't exactly proclaim the lack members as excitedly as the rest of her report.
"This happened some time ago now, but Bearsnarl had been pointlessly rude to another warrior. See, Fawnshadow offered to go out hunting with Bearsnarl and he was very grumpy and said, 'you won't be able to keep up, Fawnshadow.' He never even apologized for it." The kitten huffed, recalling the encounter and how the warrior has been seen a whole lot less recently. Though it was on the lesser side of things and even now she could see her previous assessment of exile was a bit harsh, perhaps a punishment was in order if that warrior wanted to throw shade at his own clan mates so leniently.
"Then there was something that happened between M//ountaintalon, those traitors, Nettlepaw, and Dragonflycliff... I came in a bit late and I wasn't too concerned before because it seemed handled but then the traitor ghost thing happened, and I realized that that was what they were talking about. Dragonflycliff seemed in favor of whatever that traitor ash was saying and so I wanted to launch an investigation to make sure she has no ties with that nasty ghost!" Of course, she wanted to bring her concerns up with Bumblestar first before going ahead with an investigation. For as much as Rosekit wanted to be seen as capable, she was also very young and didn't even have her 'paw name yet. "With your permission, of course."
The kitten waited for a moment before speaking again, "I... I'm working on getting better. I've been practicing my hunting crouch and battling skills with spars with other kits. I'm trying to be a good leader for when I have more cats in my guard, and also because I don't want any other cats going missing like my Drizzlemama and older sister. I wanted.. to ask.." Rosekit paused, and waited for a moment just breathing slowly so that she wouldn't start crying again because this was supposed to be a formal, professional meeting and cats don't cry during those. She missed her missing family, but this was to prevent anyone else in it and the clan from leaving. "I wanted to know how you keep leading even when everything feels so..." The russet tabby tried and failed to properly explain how she was feeling and instead just fell quiet in wait for a response.

She managed to keep her general disinterest and displeasure concealed as Rosekit rattled off things she didn't quite care about. Most of it wasn't anything that would cause lingering issues, so she was content to brush it off and ignore it. The only time her ears perked up was at the mention of the ghost, irritation making her upper lip twitch in response.
"No." Her response was sharp.
"No one's doin' anything with that ghost, least of all someone your age. Don't need you pokin' around where you shouldn't be 'n gettin' hurt." Nettlepaw had seemed solid, anyway. At least, Bumblestar had no reason now to be suspicious of the apprentice when they had made it very clear they weren't interested in any further contact with Ashpaw or the entity. But Dragonflycliff... hm. Maybe she'd have to talk to the warrior when she wasn't feeling like clawing someone's ears off for looking at her the wrong way.
She offered a supportive grunt in response to the kit's self-reported progress. The lingering question made her pause, though, and she finally lifted her chin, tail sweeping across the den floor as she turned her words over in her head.
(Trying to ignore the reminder that Drizzlecloud was, in fact, gone as well.)
"My life's been filled authority figures who never gave a damn about this Clan," was the answer she settled on.
"'Till I came around and took the head, that is. I keep goin' 'cause I dunno if anyone else would be capable of it, 'n I refuse to let everything I've built for nearly two season-cycles come crashin' down again. My duty doesn't stop just 'cause I'm feelin' bad."
