Re: ShadowClan Patrol Place

Sitting outside her den like a guard, tail quietly swaying behind her. Her gaze only shifted from the clearing ahead to the demoted warrior that addressed her, gaze lowering to the herbs he set down. She regarded them for several instances, not saying a word. Her gaze then lifted, ear flicking as she looked at him with disinterest.
"Well?"
She spoke, voice quiet, eyes dull. If he had anything to say about helping her more, then he had the chance to speak now.
[ They can continue this conversation in the clearing. ]

Grottopaw's heart dropped out of his chest. He whipped around, eyes wide, feeling as if a gaping crater was opening right underneath his feet to swallow him whole - then the breath slammed back into him in a rush as she continued, "At least you will be, if you don't comply."
Mistlewhisker was forgotten immediately. While he was usually a solid mask, he couldn't stop his legs from shaking as he bobbed his head in a nod and immediately made a bee-line for the elders' den. Like hell he'd be caught slacking again.
...
Okay, hopefully not being able to find anything wouldn't be considered slacking. Grottopaw, still twitchy, slipped back out of the elders' den after an unsuccessful search. Lying about being done didn't even cross his mind as he moved across the clearing to Sleepysunrise again.
"No ticks," he reported, brow furrowed. "What else?"

Back so soon? Her gaze shifted towards the younger apprentice, listening to his curt few words. It seemed he had already learned something about being timely; look what a good teacher she could be, or -- no ticks? Her nose scrunched. No ticks or no work? Her lip pouted. Of all times to not have ticks. Now she looked like an idiot. She remained silent for several long seconds before the words trickled out of her mouth.
"Go clean the nursery."
That place was always loud and messy no matter how the queens tried to keep it clean with all the little puffballs running around. That should keep him busy for a while. Besides, if he was going to act like a kit who can't read the time then he might as well join them in their den.
