What was this beside his pawpad? Was that a chunk of mud? How irritating. Surely, it was from when he walked by cattail pond. How he loathed mud, and most water in general disgusted him. Outside of drinking and maybe fishing, Flintclaw wanted nothing to do with water. Strike that. He didn't care for fishing at all, actually...

Flintclaw's musings were interrupted by a small voice. He blinked, lowering his paw back to the ground as a looked at the kit that approached him. Rosekit... yes, he remembered that name, though she was pretending to be someone else. Not by name, no, by heritage. The daughter of an outsider and a traitorous medicine cat. Did she say 'Pardon'?

Flintclaw blinked slowly, then yawned wide. "I am Flintclaw." Son of Hawkshiver. He thought about adding. A lie met with truth. Alas, it was not worth it. It would be lost on the kit. She was, after all, just a kit.

Speaking of just a kit, she wanted a description of patrols. Flintclaw slowly sat up, wrapping his thick tail around his paws. Should he humor her? Yes, maybe he would. He needed to be on his best behavior, anyway, if he had any hope of reaching his personal goals.

"Well, there's a few different types of patrol. Border, herb gathering, hunting, battle... Most of them are similar. Which one do you want to know about?" He asked. He had a feeling he knew what she might say next. All of them, probably. "Or, which of them do you want me to talk about first?"
