Brackenclaw knew this wasn't Mudhounds intentions at least not directly but Brackenclaw still couldn't help but feeling somewhat hurt after all Brackenclaw was such a mismatch with his apprentice that she wanted a whole other cat to train her. Brackenclaw would get up from his spot. "Well it would be selfish of me to deny Quackpaw the mentor that would work best for her wouldn't it." Brackenclaw added taking things surprisingly maturely considering everything. @Rani

Stars they knew it'd always be kinda painful but Mudhound felt really mean right now for asking. Even if it was what was best for Quackpaw. "Im sorry Brackenclaw." The tripod scuffed a paw, unhappy at themself "This isnt your fault at all, from what I can tell youre a very good mentor, sometimes the personality just doesnt match. Ive had a bad match too before, trust me it can end worse. You'll find a really good apprentice for you soon, Im sure!" Brackenclaw was especially suited for an apprentice who was ambitions and serious, aiming to be the best and plenty of those apprentices existed and tended to shine in a way the silly ones didnt.

Mudhound could admit that, it was kinda strange they as a silly cat got hornet.

"Ill tell Bumble-sis, just take the weight of you plus Ive been wanted to check on her." The leader was still techy and emotional and Mudhound was one of the rare cats immune to that as her sibling.

Actually speaking of that.... "Are you doing ok? Just in general. Ive heard the trip was hard and coming back wasnt as nice as it shouldve been... Its not your fault though, yanno that right?"
