well if she is an apprentice that could open many opportunities.
prey blood could to it for her.
or maybe make some sort of battle plot where she witnesses a fight?
that could definitely cause some problems.
always use ptsd and phobias to come up with solid plots.
its got to make the character bring back things they don't want to remember or have issues with
if you dont have that amount of psychological torment then it just wont feel as meaningful.
