Acornfall purred at Dreamykit joined him, noticing the confused haze in her eyes. His daughter always seemed curious or confused, sometimes both. But he figured it was due to her natural curiosity.
"Bumblestar has called a clan meeting." He explained, angling his ears to point to their leader. His gaze lifted as Briarmask joined him, and the purr that sounded from him was a loud and rumbling sound. He licked her between her adorable little ears, but then he licked those ears too. He couldn't help it.
"Hello my love." He purred, touching his muzzle to the top of her head.
He was not, however, expecting to be peppered with questions. And unfortunately, he didn't pay too much mind to what else what going on in the camp. Between trying to ensure Bri's life was as comfortable as possible, and training two apprentices, he was kept rather busy.
"Uh well...Emberpaw's training is coming along. Chasmpaw did well at combat training...uhhhh..." He knew this wasn't the news she was looking for. He chuckled apologetically, licking her forehead.
"I'm sorry, my love. I don't know a lot about what's going on in the camp." Was he...too much of a busy body? Ah! Wait!
"But don't be upset! I did take a little nap today and I'm making sure to eat!"
He didn't mention that his nap lasted all of two heartbeat and that he scarfed his food down so quickly he barely tasted it. But he knew enough to avoid getting into trouble. Speaking of trouble...he could hear Nightwhisper and Emberpaw bickering. But he had to keep himself from getting into trouble...couldn't step in to stop those two right now.
"Little Clove!" He called his daughter off of poor Weepingwillow's tail.
"Come sit over here with your pa!" He purred with a wide, goofy grin. He loved saying that.
