That was surprising.
He had just gotten back and he was already trusted with an apprentice.
Runningshadow hadn't really been paying attension until he had heard his name and such.

They should probably find said apprentice.

Oh stars, Frostpaw felt so excited! Their ceremony was delayed, and now they finally are an apprentice!
The tortie's head whipped around to search for their mentor. Runningshadow, where was that warrior?
When found, Frostpaw excitedly went to meet them. They didn't say anything, but their expression said it all.
They'll finally start to train, they'll learn everything on being a warrior, and more important, they'll be able to run around outside of the stuffy camp!
Frostpaw wondered just how many interesting things were outside, waiting to be known.
