Shadepaw perked her ears from the hidden position she was in, slinking closer and out of the shadows to hear Flytail. Prepare time must be up, or at least the warrior was giving them groups to prepare better. As she got closer she saw another cat had joined them. She shot a glance to the enforcer, her eyes narrowing. He'd be a tougher opponent, as he undoubtedly had more experience stalking than any other apprentice here-- and that included her.

A shiver of delight ran through her as she was assigned to be a hunter. Oh, she was sure either team would be an excellent learning experience, but there was something… pleasing about the hunting team. She wasn’t sure what. In any case, it would be good to start. She didn’t have all day, after all. Dark striped paws retreating, she let the darkness of the shadows conceal her again. She checked the air to make sure she was upwind of the group, before looking back at the cats with sharp amber eyes, waiting until the rabbits moved. I will catch the most, she vowed silently to herself. After all, Flytail had said the last rabbit to be standing would win. Not hunter. So that just meant she’d have to win in another way… She waited in the darkness of the shadows.
