one the three had reached the territory, rookfire slowed from a trot to a walk in order to briefly introduce the territory. they would repeat that process each time they reached a new piece of the territory, slowing down to make sure the apprentices had time to soak up the visuals and explanation.

GENERAL TERRITORY

rookfire cleared his throat, not even bothering to stop for this one.
"nothing special here, just the general territory. that means little more than that there arent any special landmarks that'd require its own name. you can hunt or gather herbs here, the forest stays dense and dark, often foggy early in the day" he explained with little preparation, simply letting the words flow and latching onto the next best topic that appeared relevant to him.


EVERGREEN GROTTO

they moved further into the forest, large conifer trees stopping the sun from reaching much of the soil and keeping the temperature at an all time cool. rookfire wasnt bothered by the cold anymore, not since his first leafbare in shadowclan anyway. spent lonely and cold resting atop the twisting roots of the medicine dens large tree. somewhere under his paws, if he really thought about it and the cold nipped at his concious, he could almost hear dawnstars steps as she paced the tunnel prior to declaring the space fit to be their camp.

the group slowly shifted from hardpacked and needle covered to mostly rocky before the trees cleared up into a small clearing. it was almost close enough to smell the outskirts before even taking a step into the roughly circular space flooded in sunshine. "evergreen grotto. you can probably smell the outskirts from here, we'll walk the border in a moment" better than practically feeling thunderclan breathe down your neck.

"while prey isnt hard to come across here, its often small so the evergreen grotto is preferred for herb gathering. a wide variety of herbs can grow here due to the varied soil and sun exposure. watch your step" rookfire padded towards the small cave in the center, tail waving absentmindedly behind him. "theres moss and ivy down here, big enough to take shelter as well"
