The queen raises her head in surprise as another of the clanmates selected for the patrol, Hickorysmoke she believes, offers assurance as he walks past. She nods gratefully to him as he passes. She takes a deep breath, licking Dreamy's head before turning her eyes to the members of the patrol.
"May the stars light your path!" She calls out, her voice ringing out across the expanse of the clearing.
She offers her mate a shaky smile, her best attempt at being strong, for the kits' sake. Perhaps for herself too, she can't afford to break down right now. Bri's eyes flit to Breezy, laying her tail over her daughter's back.
"Of course," She purrs softly, forcing the sound out before looking around, eyes lingering on Cloves and Leo.
"Clover, Leopard! Come here dears!" She requests, beckoning them over.
She feels the strong need to have all her children within reach right now, Acornfall's going away, so perhaps she needs the rest of her family with her.

Weepingwillow now beside Briarimask, gave a gentle meow. "Hey, you know it's going to be alright. Right? You know better than all of us how strong Acornfall is" Weepingwillow's tail gently rounded Cloverkit back towards her mother. "Clover watch where your going please. Your mother would scold me if you got hurt" Weepingwillow warned softly as Cloverkit almost stumbled into Emberpaw while chasing her own tail. Cloverkit's tiny ears flicked as she stuttered an apologize. "S-sorry Weepingwillow." After receiving a reassuring purr from the queen Cloverkit lit back up.
Cloverkit looked up at her mother. "M-mama will daddy r-really come back?" The little kit started to fret. Did her papa leave because her and her siblings? Was mama going to be alone? Was Papa really going to come back ok? Why was papa even leaving!? Cloverkits internal worries showed externally as her tiny ears pinned nervously, her green eyes rounded in worry. Cloverkit cuddled close to her mom. "M-mommy.... w-what if daddy doesn't c-come back"
Emberpaw an Nightwhisper were bickering on the side as always. Weepingwillows ears twitched in annoyance. "Pray your kits don't bicker as much as these two" Weepingwillow told Briarmask with a gentle purr. Her gaze immedietly hardening as Emberpaw called his father annoying. "Emberpaw sit up straight and come here right now Nightwhisper hush" Weepingwillow watched as Emberpaw and his father both shut up, Emberpaw sitting neatly in front of his mother. Weepingwillows harsh blue gaze made the tom unable to meet her eye. "You do not disrespect your parents and you know this Emberpaw. Your bickering with your father is enough I will not have you calling names" she scolded, Emberpaw murmuring that he was sorry to his father and mother. Weepingwillow let Emberpaw go sit back and then turned to Nightwhisper. And you, stop provoking your son. I see you provoke him and then you both sit there and bicker. So either teach your son some respect or cut it out because it's left and right with you two"
Nightwhisper didn't argue. Only looked at Weepingwillow with a pouty. "Fine....sorry"
Weepingwillow sighed. Flicking her tail over her stomach as she shifted. Discomfort evident. Weepingwillow looked down at Brisrmask's bundle of kits. Weepingwillow mewed. "Sorry about me scolding them. Just had to get it done.....uhh anyways uhm.. how's being a mother doing for you?" Weepingwillow asked, her tone a bit nervous and apologetic yet curious.
