That’s all he needed to hear. A portion of him felt minimally guilty, he knew how tired she was. He understood she wasn’t fully comprehending what he had asked her to do. But it was okay, because he would sit with her as soon as she was conscious and give her that option. To pick. To choose. The choice was not getting robbed of her.
