And his hearing in his torn ear was muffled from the cobwebs. He must look like…well…like he rolled in a bunch of spiderwebs. Acornfall sat gratefully by one of the otters, exhausted. But more than happy to take Spiderthroat up on his offer to feast.
His paws wanted to take him all the way to the nursery, but he was too tired. Not to mention…he wasn’t totally sure where he was going right now. Before digging in, Acornfall sucked in a lungful of breath. “Bri!” He called out his mate’s name, a purr in his voice. But only slightly, his voice crackled with exhaustion. “I’m here!” All he could do now, was brace himself for the onslaught of family. He scooted away some from the otter corpses, so as to not disturb any clanmates who wanted to partake.

Cloverkit heard her father's voice. Mustering up the loudest sound the small and shy kitten could make as she ran out. "P-papa!!!" Cloverits small legs patterned as she raced over. Running into her father's fur. "Papa your back!" Cloverkit gave a small squeak as a black paw skidded to a halt beside her. Cloverkit cuddled up to her father's fur as emberpaw purred brightly. "Uncle Acorn your back! You.. look ok!?" Emberpaw squeaked. Hoping his mentor was OK regardless to his evident exhaustion.
Weepingwillow exited the nursery. Her belly full as she looked at Acornfall. "Told you everything would be ok" she purred. Letting the tom havesome space, though gasping as Emberpaw moved.
Nightwhisper shooting past to skid practically on his best friend. "Holy-" Nightwhisper meowed in suprise. "You guys killed this thing!? Awesome work!" Nightwhisper seemed to hve forgotten his senior warrior status at this point, his eyes wide with affection and pride, glittering as he looked at Acornfall. "Your still intact right?" Nightwhisper questioned, his tone playful though his eyes shine with a new emotion. Worry. Nightwhisper realized little Cloverkit was clinging to her dad's pelt. Nighwhisper gemtly stepped away from the kit to not invade her space. "Hey, for real man. You did good. I dont even have to see it to know it" Nightwhisper gently pressed his muzzle to Acornfall's head, a rare gesture of almost brotherly pride and affection. Emberpaw had crouched down a bit away and started to eat. "Dad! Try this it tastes kinda good!" Weepingwillow settled beside her son. Eating quietly. Nightwhispers eyes narrowed. "This isn't Riverclanny at all is it?" Nighrwhisper murmured. Though as he sat beside his family he left a spot open for Briarmask, obviously assuming she'd show up and be beside her mate once again.
