Bri had been staring blankly at the wall of the nursery, praying desperately for her mate since he set off. She is exhausted, her eyes reddened and irritated from her salty tears. As soon as she hears Acorn's voice she jumps up to her feet stumbling out of the nursery with fresh tears clouding her vision, she stands there for a few moments in the entrance, hackles raising at the sight of him and the overpowering stench of blood wafting off of the group. She glances down as her daughter rushes past her, her breathing slightly shallow as she takes a few more steps closer to Acornfall. Once reaching him, her tail practically cutting the circulation off from her leg, she looks over his injuries- freezing when she finds things missing. She dolefully meets his eyes eye, a bit of blood trickling from her lip as her teeth sink into it.

"W-welcome back honey," She nearly chokes on her words, deciding to leave it at that before she actually does.

She wouldn't want to start a fight in front of the kids, and not while he's still so weak. Weak. That's... never a word she'd thought she'd use to describe him. She can't even make sense of the feelings churning inside of her at that thought, it makes her feel one thing she's able to recognize from back when she was pregnant- sick. Her leg feels numb. She should probably let go of it. She doesn't though, she's unable to bring herself to. She'll just... tolerate the tingly feeling spreading through her nervous system for now. It gives her something else to focus on anyway.
