Re: ThunderClan Stormcrest
Acornfall was watching from near the medicine den. His shoulders squared and his gaze unreadable. Cold. He had been anticipating this day coming ever since Spiderthroat showed Wolfpaw mercy. He felt…the tiniest bit bad for Maplehaze. But truthfully, what did he expect? Wolfpaw had allowed their leader to lose a life and the rest of the patrol to suffer. Did his denmate think showing the failed medicine cat support openly in front of the clan was going to go well? He shook his head as the exiled warrior left. Wasteful. Idiot.
By this point, his wounds had stopped bleeding. The only ones that really required checking were his…facial wounds…and the bite to his leg. Just to ensure infection was prevented like Berryshine said. Berryshine…now there was a medicine cat. It was too bad they couldn’t borrow her or something, show Hollowpaw what a true medicine cat was like for a few sunrises. Acornfall squinted his eye and turned his head, trying to make sure he had a good view (he was still getting used to this whole one-eyed vision thing), curious to see what Wolfpaw’s decision would be.
Would he risk execution to join Maplehaze in exile? Or accept changing his name to stay in a clan that will never again trust him? Frankly, if it were him he’d choose exile. Because the only cat who would ever show Wolfpaw any kindness was just exiled. Staying here seemed foolish. Being a father, the brown tabby turned his head to scan the cats gathered with his remaining eye. He was relieved none of his kits were out here to see this, but they were probably exhausted with Bri in the nursery. His family…he put them through so much by volunteering to fight these otters. And Wolfpaw couldn’t even be bothered to treat the wounded that returned from the first patrol. The whole thing made his blood boil all over again.
