Bumblestar... Stepped down? Now that shocked her. Who wouldn't want to be leader? It was basically the most important role in the whole clan, and Bumblestar didn't want it. She couldn't begin to understand. But, that made space for her father, didn't it? Would he be even busier, now that he was leader? Hm. She hoped not. She needed to grab him for some quality time, and training, of course. Bumblestar - Bumblebreak finished her speech. Wow, she'd never known the leader's original suffix and it was a weird one. At least to Hornetpaw. She supposed break sounded kinda strong, like she can break a lot of things.

Then, Dad stepped up. A new deputy - Flintclaw? Who even was that guy?! Her head swivelled around in attempt to find the new deputy, but she quickly got distracted by Spiderthroat's words. New warriors, new apprentices, and reassignments - aha! She grinned. A new mentor would do her well. ThunderClan's new leader swiftly moved on - Hollowpaw had left ThunderClan? What a loser. Whatever. She gave an eye roll, before refocusing on her father's speech. Dragonflycliff... Died. She'd never known the warrior, but her heart still sank. Actual death was scary. That could have easily been Spiderthroat, if fate hadn't turned out the way it had - and if he had been weaker.

Then, a new medicine cat apprentice was announced. Ugh. Genuinely, whatever. She didn't care for the medics, it was clearly a useless rank - that was, until she heard the name. Dragonflypaw?!?! An audible gasp left her. Her own sister! Well, she supposed Dragonflypaw would be much better at the role than useless-loser-paw and useless-loser-who-ran-away. When it came to Treetiger... Eh. She'd wait and see, but she didn't have high hopes. "Spiderthroat, Flintclaw, Dragonflypawwwwwwwww!!!" She yelled, most enthusiastically, till Spiderthroat spoke again.

Warrior ceremonies. There were many cats she didn't know, but - Butterflypaw?! No way, her sister had already finished her training?! How? She couldn't ignore how jealous she was, but she still felt that seed of happiness for her sibling. She really hadn't expected Butterflypaw to be the kid of cat to blast through her training in such a way, but perhaps behind her cheery persona there really was a driven and ambitious cat. Even more so than Hornetpaw hersself - who's training was serverely lacking.
