Silverleopard sat down beside the deputy, wrapping her tail neatly around her paws.

“I haven’t seen you since the last meeting, and I realized I forgot to congratulate you,” she meowed, her curled ears flicking. “When I saw you, I wanted to. You’ve done more than enough, and you deserve the position. Spiderstar chose well.”

There was an emphasis on Spiderstar’s new name, considering that Silverleopard didn’t want to show any disrespect towards the new leader (not that she didn’t respect him, because she did).

Aaaaaand now she was going to sit down beside him. The dark tabby would normally get irritated at this point, but... well, he didn't mind a bit of praise. Flintclaw shrugged, a motion that made his chest burn with the reminder that his ribs still weren't fully healed. "I appreciate it. I'll make sure there's no reason for anyone to feel any differently." The dark tabby rumbled, a sound almost akin to a purr. Respect and praise, huh? Was she trying to get something from him? Well, he knew Silverleopard was a fairly competent warrior.

Perhaps he would make a mental note to have her lead future patrols.

Flintclaw looked around the clearing, naturally searching for any issues while his tail continued its calm and rhythmic curling. "I think we'll work well together," He rasped after a momentary pause. He didn't imagine much would cause disagreements between him and Spiderthroat. Now, him and Treetiger? That was a different story. He knew it would come up at some point that he would need to talk to her... especially when checking in on Bumblebreak, Mudhound, and Violetfreckle.
