Flintclaw didn't even bat an eye as Rosesight disappeared. Guess she wasn't going, then. It didn't take long for him to focus on Rosepaw again, successfully distracted from her woes by a fluffy tail to the face. Well, for a moment, at least, because she was soon bristled up and pacing once again. The deputy tilted his head lightly and listened to her rant about her sister. He had no idea that Kestralpaw had returned before she'd been called, which he felt he probably should have known. He really needed to be paying more attention to these things, but he was sure that, eventually, he would be able to keep it all organized. It wasn't necessarily his job before.

When the apprentice finally paused, stopped by her own accidental mistake, he paused a moment. Why were family matters always so complicated. "Well, if you'd like to get your mind off of it, then I can take you out of camp soon and we'll go train." He rasped. He didn't much feel like he would regret it anymore. Really, It might give him a break and repay some of the debt he somehow owed the little russet 'paw. "What do you still need? If you've gotten some battle training already, we might just do some predator fighting, as I'd promised." He offered.

He wondered if she had forgotten about that. Kits were strange. Sometimes they remembered things to the detail of an ant that happened to crawl on a maple leaf one day in newleaf. Other times, they forget how to walk. There was no way of ever telling which one would be the case, day by day. Little balls of unreasonable energy and sponges to words they heard spoken from across the entire clearing.
