"oof!" she gasped as the large paw landed on her. She was stuck in a crouched position now as she listened to her father. "Mother said things like she didn't care if you were dead," she spoke, almost saddened by the idea that Lilith didn't like Onyx anymore. She wanted to know them before Lilith decided she could no longer love him. With a simple sigh, and the paw still on her back, she laid down with her chin between her paws, her pale green hues were looking upwards towards him. "Will mother ever like you again?" she inquired. Her fluffy tail swished across the ground behind her, clearly showing that she was thinking about it now. Pompeii's fantasy had ended and she was back to being the little kit in Dusky Syndicate who only knew her mother's hatred towards her father. The creamy she-kit waited for his answer once more, hoping that he'd reassure her and not say something that would give her the impression that they'd never be a big happy family.

Onyx honestly didn't know how to answer. He looked down then turned his orbs back to her. "Pompeii, I hope so. I wooed her once with my charm, I think I can do it again." he said, and smiled down on her. She had his look, his determined, tough look, something he never thought he'd see outside of as water reflection. With that thought, he lowered his head down to her level, and his orbs flicked as he looked into her eyes. "I promise, I will not leave again." he paused then nuzzled her. "My little princess." he purred.
