Her yellow eyes flickered to another cat. A tom. She blinked at him, as he introduced himself.
''Oh, hi, Martenthorn,'' she mused, sadly. Then, she noticed her expression, and quickly changed it to something more...preppy. She did not want her fellow clanmates to notice her depression. ''I'm not distressed at all!'' She exclaimed, a hint of worried appeared in her voice. She quickly laughed this off, and looked away from the eyes of the tom. She noticed that she wasn't in the right nest. And, she again, peered at him, her eyes widen. ''I am so so so sorry! Is this your nest?'' She asked, quickly getting up. ''I'm a bit of a nutcase! I was just so tired...and the nest was comfortable for a nap.'' But, not sweet dreams...
She hopped out the nest, trying to fix up with what she messed up. ''Sorry about this...''She tilted her head, ''Ma...Martenthorn.'' She nodded, hoping she remembered his name, correctly. Where is my head today!?
Featherspeckle hung her head low to avoid the look in the warrior's eyes, and she padded a few distances from him. She stopped in her tracks, and glanced back at him. With a sigh of relieve, and mustering the best smile she could offer, she said, ''I'm Featherspeckle, by the way.'' She trotted outside the warrior's den, and sat down, her tail curled around her paws, and she closed her eyes, breathing calmly.

The Abyssinian narrowed his hues at Featherspeckle's sudden change of voice, but ignored it as best he could. After all, it was none of his business if something personal was going on in her life and she didn't want him to know about it. "Sorry. I-I didn't mean to disturb you." He mewed in a calmer, more collected tone of voice. The tom cleared his throat and shifted his weight uncomfortably, as he became very interested in the ground of the nursery. And, truth be told, it was rather dirty...he had never quite noticed that before, which was one good thing about this. It was allowing him to notice new things. The tom cleared his throat and looked back up at the she cat curiously as she spoke once more, this time definitely sounding somewhat distressed. For a moment he didn't say anything, absorbed in his thoughts, and then his eyes widened. "What? No! I mean, uh- n-no, th-that one next to it is mine," He mewed, flicking his tail towards a somewhat untidy looking, but cozy little nest that was next to the one Featherspeckle had been in and smiling a little fondly at it. He had some good memories of that nest. After all, it wasn't every cat who had the opportunity-- or privilege, rather-- to stay in the Warriors' Den for a while. But Martenthorn, not having an apprentice, got to hang around Camp quite a bit more...once he was done hunting and doing other things like that, that was.
"Don't-- don't, uh, worry about it. I'm sure no one will notice." He mewed, glancing at the somewhat tidier nest. He couldn't remember who it belonged to. They were never there, whoever it was...so Martenthorn seriously doubted that it was a bad thing that the she cat had been in their nest. They wouldn't care, whoever it was. "Featherspeckle? It's nice to meet you, I'm Martenthorn--" He cut himself off and became very interested in the ground once more. He was somewhat used to making a fool of himself, but this was just plain embarrassing... not to mention that he was annoyed about having acted so strangely upon first seeing her. "Sorry, I've already introduced myself, haven't I? It's, uh...sort of a bad habit of mine," He mewed, the tip of his tail twitching anxiously as he did so. After another moment's silence, when he noticed the she cat starting to walk away, his hues widened and his mind began to race. He didn't want her to leave! Not now, when he was just getting to know her-- okay, so maybe it would have been nice to be alone. But she didn't look happy, and Martenthorn wanted to fix that. "Hey, wait! Uh-- Featherspeckle! I was, um, thinking you might, uh...maybe we could go hunting? Sort of get to know each other better?" The tom asked with a slightly nervous expression as he did so.

PROFILE PICTURE REFERENCE
I mentioned on my profile that I was starting over. A fresh start is best for me right now; I've created quite a few new characters, and they will all be on my site, but not all will be used in roleplay right away. it's likely I'll bring them in more gradually.
