"Glad to hear you slept well, I myself have slept fairly well, but ever since I've been in the nursery I've found it strange not to be amongst the warriors." Cobaltshade admitted with a small sigh, resting her cheek on his shoulder momentarily before lifting her head again to look across the clearing, remembering that she still had to keep half a gaze on Flashkit, he was still relatively young and needed watching. It was her duty as his mother to watch him as carefully as ever, but give him space so that he could learn and grow properly, she thought about this in a rather logical way, acting more so from logic than intuition. But the Russian Blue has always been that way just about anything, it's no surprise that her view on raising a kit was the same way and that motherhood has hardly changed her. That's one thing about Cobaltshade, through everything, she has never changed, not for a moment.

As she watched her beloved little monster across the clearing, she heard Chaseripple ask a new question, her ears perking and her head turning to look at him for a moment, the smile back to her muzzle.
"Oh it's fine Chase dear, I understand. Hah, I mean if any cat were to understand, it would be me!" She purred with a quiet chuckle before going on to answer his question, her eyes back to following the kit.
"He's doing good, growing up too quickly if you ask me. He'll be a good strong kit though, I can tell." As she finished speaking, she would look to the carp that Chaseripple had brought over for himself before tucking her tail to the side.
"It's nice to think that I'll be back in the warriors den soon though, I have to say I've missed my duties and I've missed being next to you. What I wouldn't give to finally go back out in the territory to catch a water vole, or to patrol the borders!"
Chaseripple smiled. He too was enjoying this time with her, mostly though because he could sense that she was happy. That was what he wanted from life, for her to be happy, and however he could help with that would be a pleasure to him. "Well I'm glad someone understands me. But it's good to hear she is doing well. I'll have to pay her a personal visit sometime and get to know her more. Maybe she'll have some time as an apprentice as well to where maybe the three of us could go out?" He suggested. A family hunt among the three of them seemed very pleasant, maybe even wonderful. He knew, and felt bad that he had not been spending as much time with them as he most likely should have, but too had his warrior duties to complete.
"I bet you miss them. I can't say I blame you though. If I were to be stuck in a den and nest for six to seven moons, I'm sure that I would have died of boredom by now. Kudos to you for surviving like this, something I don't think I would be very good at." He chuckled light heartedly. The blue gray tom stole a glance at his mate as she stared off across the clearing, watching their daughter. He knew at he should get his head out of the clouds and be a better father to the young she kit, she probably really wanted it and he had been to busy to see it. He had to fix that before it was too late. It was easy to keep up with the cat he had been in love with for a long time, but it had been ages since he had dealt with kits, did he have what it took to be a good father? Surely. Cobaltshade seemed to trust him with it, so he would.
He watched her as she gazed across the clearing, looking over her stunning features, he stared into her beautiful eyes and emitted a soft pur. Sure he hadn't just fallen for her because she was pretty, but because of her personality. The looks were an added bonus, he could say. He saw her snatch a glance down at his carp and felt a dreaded feeling that he had not offered to share. Of course, he had only taken a few bites from it, so it was mostly there anyways. He used his rather large paws to push the prey towards his companion. "Here, if you would like it you can have the rest, I wasn't that hungry anyways." He said in a polite manner.

~~ I’m trying to come back. All my character will be scrapped and I’ll be starting over. Some of my characters will remain in Starclan, all my main ones. They’re open for roleplay if you would like that. Other than that I’m starting over completely. ~~
