Ashenpaw barely had time to react as she felt a hard blow hit her neck. A sort of gurgling sound could be heard as the cut grew deep, draining the very life from the apprentice. Spots started to cloud her vision and the crimson river stained her soft ashen gray fur. "W..Why.." she gasped, her voice strained and hoarse as she tried to swallow to no avail. The light in her eyes began to fade and in one swift motion she she-cat went limp, eyes glazing over as she fell completely into the soft snow on the ground. Her blue eyes stared ahead at nothing as she became still, her flank falling flat for one final time.
