Another giggle escaped her before she launched herself forward at the Tom, aiming to send the two rolling, hoping to pin him as she usually did when they were battle training as apprentices. They'd always been best friends. And maybe in the future....Something more.

Stormstrike quickly ran faster as he saw his best friend gaining speed. He couldn't let her catch up! His pride would be ruined. Well, not really. Pride didn't matter much to Stormstrike. There were many things in the world that Stormstrike cared more about. Like Snowsong.
"Me!" Stormstrike yowled back, playful defiance in his voice.
Suddenly, the tom was knocked to the ground. At first, he was rather alarmed. But that quickly went away as he noticed the white fur of Snowsong. Smiling in relief, the grey tom laughed as he tumbled down a
rather steep hill. They finally landed and before the siamese could move,
Stormstrike pinned her down, a look of triumph on his maw. Finally,
he was the one pinning her down. Not the other way around.
