Re: RiverClan Clearing
( @Liquoris Sorry it took so long! )
As the sun broke out from behind a patch of cloud, Blazingheart relished it's rays, as they warmed his paws and ears. He looked around camp, his deep blue eyes scanning the clearing for someone to speak to. As he did, his gaze lingered on the nursery and remembered the single mother that had been left in there, with her kits. StarClan, did he hate that tom who abandoned her. He almost visibly curled his lip in a scowl, but he refrained from doing so as he rose to his paws. Closing his eyes for a mere second so he could take in a few more seconds of the NewLeaf heat, he felt a purr rumble in his throat. He padded over to the fresh-kill pile, the grass lightly tingling his pads. The pile was piled with fresh water voles and fish, normal prey for the season. He glanced at the pile for a second, deciding what to choose, before lowering his head and sinking his jaws into a fresh carp, still warm and wet from the river. He remembered when he used to catch fish and bring it back to his... son. Suddenly memories of his family flooded back to him - the family he had left - and he tried to push the melancholy thoughts to the back of his mind. He picked up the fish and turned toward the nursery, bounding toward the den with a new energy. He swiftly stopped, his orange banded tail flicking. Gently dropping the carp on the ground, he pushed a little ways into the den, briefly pushing a tendril of reed away from the entrance with his paw. He glanced inside. "Birchstep?" He called. Suddenly he spotted the she-cat, laying on the ground with her kits, looking thin. "Oh, hey," he greeted, stepping in a bit more and dragging the large carp inside. "I thought you might want this. I didn't know if anyone had brought you anything to eat today or not," he said, nudging the prey toward her with his pale muzzle.
