Harry winced too, but instead of feeling fear, he felt a surge of frustration. He never understood why people found it fulfilling to indulge in the cruel chaos of The Purge. "Fair enough," he called back, carefully placing the assault rifle in the holster strapped across his back, concealing the machete he drew before coming to the aisle, "I can't guess your motives or intentions, but what can I do to stop you from... killing... that girl?" Harry felt an immense sense of pity for the sobbing child, knowing well she didn't deserve this.
