She shuffled her ebony paws and gave her new apprentice a goofy grin, "I'm happy that you feel the same way I do." she purred, her voice was soft and silky, and she really was, she was overjoyed that Mountainpaw had become her apprentice, she couldn't have asked for a more capable Tom. "I am excited to teach you all I know! And then some of course." she giggled, her tail flicked. Sheepface twitched her whiskers and realized that he may be itching to get going, although she wasn't. She gave the young Tom a shy smile and dipped her head "We'll start your training first thing in the morning, for now, get some rest alright?" she stated before she padded back towards the nursery, hoping that Mountainpaw wouldn't mind her decision.

Her words left him with hope in his heart and chest. Perhaps she wouldn't judge or mistrust him. it wasn't his fault who his mother was after all. Though he was unsettled by the fact that Tawnypaw said Blazingnight- now Ash- had contacted her. Mountainpaw had been anxiously wondering if his mother would try to pull him to the darkforest for a meeting as well. He didn't want to, especially after the cold conversation he'd heard Tawnypaw had been put through. Their mother seemed to want nothing to do with them, it was... shocking. He hadn't expected that to be said. Ash wanted them to be like their father... It made him want to meet her as much as it didn't as he was afraid that she truly wasn't the monster that every cat said that she was; which would mean that he resided in a clan of his parents' murderers. He blinked the sadness and fear quickly from his eyes, he couldn't think that way, he had to believe in the good of the clan and in Starclan. The last sentence of the molly sent a shiver of disappointment through him though, rest was the last thing he wanted right now! His tail slumped against the dirt ground of the clearing and he forced a weak smile to his face. "Sure! I'll see you again soon." He said, voice tight but chipper. His mind was already back on his mother and sister's reunion. Tawnypaw had only told him this morning, so how could he not only think about the 'what if's'. Mountainpaw knew better than to question the past, and the whispers, but he really wanted the truth; and he wasn't sure he would ever truly get it.
