An older Tom stood on the opposite side of the clearing to him, watching. After the White Tom let out a growl of frustration and confusion, the other Tom approached. "My sincerest apologies Halite, am I making too much of a racket?" he spoke to the commander slowly through clenched teeth, clearly agitated about something. The hot sunshine didn't help either, burning the back of his neck, scorching his paws and turning the ground into lava. We could use some rain right about now... he thought, scathingly just before the camp sets on fire. What a shame it would be if it did though...poor Halite could be killed... a smirk appeared on his sweaty face, eyes yellow like the blazing stars up above. Not that the Stars meant anything...nothing more than Flecks of light in the sky. Through all his rage, The Tom forgot he was speaking to the commander of the Dusk syndicate and that he needed to speak with respect. Sort yourself out...you really need to up your game if you're gonna be a guard one day...or perhaps co-commander would serfice... he blinked slowly and began to wash his face and groom his snowy pelt to cool it down.
"Yes?" The tom said, obviously startled out of his thoughts. He looked up at the white, slightly larger feline. "No, I believe you're fine..." the gray-pelted continued, dragging out his words slowly because he wasn't sure what else to say. "Is there something that you would like to talk about?" The Syndicate leader inquired, with an almost impatient thump of his tail. He wanted to get things moving.

Usually, cats didn't approach him just for a friendly chat. Most everyone respected him to a high enough level, to the point that he received little 'small talk'. Halite didn't like those pointless conversations, anyways. He wanted things to be down to business and over with. Hah, guess this makes me one of the most distant Commanders ever. Not that I should be proud of that or anything...

Throughout these few seconds, the Commander didn't look up to see the other tomcat's facial expressions. Even though his companion was clearly aggravated, Halite did not pay the slightest attention.
