Wether or not he had missed her she certainly knew she had missed him. But she had smothered the feelings and tried to dispose of them, to occupy her mind and busy herself leaving no time to think about it. But here she was. Surrounded by the haunting thought. Blinking in his presence, unable to speak.

Just as she stretched her maw to speak he spoke over her and she quieted herself. She listened intently but looked far off and distant. She blinked her full eyes again. Looking away shyly. Than spoke up when he had finished, still avoiding eye contact at all costs. "This... Isn't your time to apologize.." she said. Letting the statement hang out in dead air. She almost didn't reckonise herself speaking and her voice seemed to slightly scare her. Reminding her of who she used to be. "It... It's my time" she meows softly. Raising her head so their eyes met. Her dull optics searched his. A secret feeling so passionate hidden behind her eyes.

She took a deep breath and dropped ey contact yet again "I felt too strongly... And when you didn't want it... I freaked out... " she paused again. Swallowing hard. She raised her head part way and resumed their broken eye contact. Swallowing down the fear and regret that was bubbling up in her throat. Her jaw seemed to be trembling and her body seemed to shrink as confidence left her. "This is my fault... I should have waited..." she paused again. Allowing the silence to settle in. "I.. I was never mad at you... Just scared. I didn't know what was going on... With my heart... I wanted something you clearly don't... I respect that" was her simple response. And she finally sat down. Just a fox length away. Her head hung and her fur dripping rain drops onto her nest. Soaking the ground further.
Tumblestep listened silently, his gaze locked on her with innocence dancing in his green eyes. He was lost. Shouldn't Daisyshade be mad at him? Shouldn't she be forbidding him to speak, crying about trust and friendship? Shouldn't he be flinching back, wishing he could be anywhere but here? Instead, he found himself facing an apologizing Daisyshade. Why should she apologize? He gasped silently as their gazes met, and it seemed to be decades before either of them broke contact. Daisyshade looked away first. Tumblestep continued to stare.

The positions were turned. Daisyshade was being shy, and Tumblestep was feeling confident now that she was saddened. Almost as if he knew what he were doing now. When she sat down... not too far away, he debated whether or not to approach her, to embrace her. But he decided against it - at least, for now. If she did have feelings for him, he couldn't hurt her further by embracing her when he didn't share her emotions. He took advantage of the silence, glancing at the ground as he gathered his thoughts before looking back at Daisyshade.

``Show me,`` Tumblestep whispered, rising to his paws. With confident steps, he slowly made his way closer to Daisyshade. Desperation drove him, alongside his requirement for warmth. ``Show me how to feel how you feel.`` He had seen the love his sister had shared with her ex-mate before their split. He saw how happy they had made one another. He wanted to be happy. He yearned for the happiness that came with love. He wasn't even stuttering, he felt so strongly.

Last time they had shared an affectionate touch, Tumblestep had felt something. A small spark, it seemed. It was what had scared him into running away. He had felt strangely during and after their touch. He couldn't get his heart to stop racing until the next day, he had had struggles in sleeping that night because he couldn't get Daisyshade out of his head. He just didn't understand those feelings, he didn't know what he had been feeling was affection. However, Tumblestep did not love Daisyshade, not yet, at least. But he was close to. One more action may do the trick...
