Lunarpaw's expression changed and the words 'what do you want' practically vanished off the tip of his tongue. Still, he kept the darker part of his face twisted away so that his neck was being held at an odd angle... despite the fact he felt as though she had already seen the darker color before.
"Hi." He mewed back, though his voice was considerably lower and nowhere near as cheerful sounding as Briarpaw's own. She's the most excitable, cheerful, and sweet cat he's ever met. Though those things don't seem to matter much to him. Rude or sweet, Lunarpaw had never been the type of cat to make friends. The silence was beginning to bother him, so he continued onwards, with a half-uncomfortable expression.
"It's Briarpaw, right?" He asked after a moment's silence. His blue eye met her gaze, although he still didn't dare turn his head so that she could see his whole face. The darker part of his face could have been a part of the shadows, for all that was visible - and Lunarpaw wouldn't even have been surprised.

She blinked and made a soft purr in surprise. "You remembered my name!" she chirped merrily, swaying her tail high in the air in a friendly manner. She walked in a little circle before asking him. "What are you doing here?" As she placed herself directly in front of him, her big yellow eyes looking innocently at him. This way she can see him a bit more clearly. Her eyes dilated a tad from the shadiness of this corner of the clearing and because she could see him fairly enough. And she would want to see the cats she knows pretty well, she doesn't like seeing them as big blur. As she waited for an answer, she decided to tidy up the fur on her back and used her rough tongue to smooth it down. If she kept her fur like that the whole time she would attempt to chat with him, she would get too distracted. She wanted to pay full attention to him. She is aware that he doesn't live an easy life in RiverClan.
