Kion looked at him in surprise. "I didnt.." He trailed off, then sighed. "Okay. You're right, we should have told you about Kila. But we didnt. For two reasons. One, because honestly? We thought she was dead, Kopa." He met his brother's gaze, his eyes flickering with both exhaustion and pain as he continued, "And we didnt know what good it would do to tell you about the sister you'd probably never get to meet. Im not saying that it didnt matter you were gone," He added, looking over toward Kila before looking back at Kopa. "Im saying that everyone was devastated when we couldnt find Kila. And everyone was torn up that she was gone. We didnt want you to feel upset over it either. But that was stupid, and im sorry. It has nothing to do with you being the youngest, it never has.
"As for me not spending time with you," Kion sighed. "That has nothing to do with you being the youngest, either. But it is entirely on me, so im sorry for that too. You're my brother, Kopa, I want to spend as much time with you as I can, and Mufasa knows that I try. Its not easy to keep up with a huge family and be leader of the Lion Guard at the same time, and so far I havent been doing a good job on that." He grimaced slightly. "You are important to me, and very much so. And, im sorry if I havent made you feel like it."
Koja just blinked at his younger brother, sitting back in slight surprise.
