Crestfeather didn't notice Soaringcrane's detour, but she knew that he was behind her and reveled in the fact that she was beating him in a race. The molly came upon a small clearing surrounded by heather. Trees were visible in the distance and if she strained her ears she could just hear the breeze rustling the leaves on the distant branches. Closer to her, however, was the sound of the heather brushing against each other. The sweet, familiar smell of the heather wreathed around her bringing back memories of her training with Soaringcrane. The time she'd had a piece of heather on her nose. All the times when he'd brought her heather to keep in her nest. Warmth washed over her and she smiled, feeling as if her heart was about to burst with love, as cliche as it was. The she-cat sat down and wrapped her tail around her paws neatly, giving her fur a quick grooming so that it'd look perfect when Soaringcrane came. Tiny lights blinked in the air around her and she watched the fireflies with awe.
