Sunmist smiled at the two as his thoughts seemed to be echoed by Roseblaze. His ear flicked at the molly's question, one he didn't have a full answer to yet. He had been left behind after their deputy left, as he wanted to make sure every cat was okay. But that resulted in the tom not hearing any directions that were given, if any. He just knew they had to get away from this water, and now. He made sure to keep his voice hushed as he answered Roseblaze so the kit besides them wouldn't hear. "I don't know," he admitted. "Just anywhere away from the water. Higher ground, somewhere safer..." His voice trailed off as he gave yet another alert sweep of their surroundings- the water was still climbing at an alarming rate.
Then, the tom swore he heard some quiet mewling of yet another kit. He stopped his walking and looked around, trying to find the source of the noise. But the kit seemed farther off, and he couldn't catch sight of them. Worried, he looked over at the two cats with him. "Roseblaze," he gave a pause to make sure he had her name correct, "I hear another cat in need. I... well, I can't leave them behind." He lowered his voice so as not to worry Dewkit, he didn't want the tom-kit hearing the entire problem. "They sound like a kit. I'm going to go find where they are, get him to safety, okay?" He questioned, referring to the kit standing right next to them. He gave her a moment to agree, but another cry had him even more nervous- he needed to get to that kit now. "I'll be okay, don't worry about me!" His voice carried over the tom's shoulder as he sprinted as quickly as possible through the mud.
Sunmist ran as quickly as he could towards the source of the noise, but the mud sucking at his paws caused him to stumble often. With how wet everything was, it was hard not to slip on the ground. The tom wound up having to slow his pace so he wouldn't injure himself; he needed to get to the kit fast but would be of no use if he was hurt. The rain seemed to batter down harder on the tabby's face, hurting his eyes and he narrowed them against the storm. As he moved on, he kept his ears alert for any more noises from the kit he swore he had heard. "Hello?" He called out loudly, just as a gust of wind almost knocked him off his feet- imagine what that wind would have done to a little kitten? He pushed on, more determined to bring the young cat to safety.
"It's okay, I'm here to bring you to a safer place," Sunmist shouted again, not worried about bringing the wrong sort of attention. Any creature would be stupid to pick a fight in this weather; they would both die if that was the case. Finally, the orange cat sighted a small shape stumbling around. His heart clenched as he noticed the poor thing was limping and probably injured. His approach was slower than his frantic walking before as he didn't want to scare the tom-kit. "Hey there little one," he called out in a softer, friendlier one. "I'm Sunmist, you don't need to be scared of me. Come on now, I'll get you somewhere safe to have that leg looked at." He gestured to the kit with his tail, urging him to come closer to the larger cat. Sunmist frowned as he watched the kit stumble yet again- their walking would be slowed with this. "Would you be okay with me carrying you? It'd be better for your leg, and for us to move out of here quicker," he explained while his gaze raked over the gathering floods. They needed to get a move on quick.

(I'm on mobile so I'm sorry if there's typos)
Shadekit stumbled again, trying to be light in his left paw. It wasn't working well, the rain pelted his down and water kept running into his eyes, causing him to squint and blink and not watch where he put his paws. He stumbled about, splashing down in a pooling puddle of water. Shadekit narrowed his eyes, he was determined to evacuate if no one wanted to help aid him. He was sure his ankle was fine, but right now he really wanted a medicine Cat or someone to give him the final okay. The rain wasn't helping his condition, as well as soaked fur and stumbling steps, he thought the rain would cool the slight throb in it, however it only shot it with harsh water bullets, like small bees we're falling from the sky.
His ears desperately perked when he heard the faintest of noises, some talking, and calling out to see if someone was there. Shadekit opened his mouth to call back, and heard more noise. He clung to the ground with his thornlike claws as a gust of wind threatened to make him tumble like a bush across the camp. Shadekit couldn't make out the muffled sentence called out to him because of the roaring rain and whirlwind of air around him. Then he saw it, an orange tabby cat coming towards him. Shadekit closed his eyes in relief, with the other cats closeness and and the act that he was near another cat that looked like he would seemingly help, he found the most safety he had felt since the first raindrop fell on the camp.
Shadekit didn't reply at first, he was too much in shock and focusing on not shivering next to the warrior beside him. Shadekit let out a little squeak of dismay, did this cat-Sunmist, think Shadekit was scared of him?He swallowed, through his eyes Shadekit must look like a little coward compared to the braving apprentices and warriors fighting through the storm without assistance. His shoulder loosened with relief as Submist offered him help to find a safer place. He could barely hear the Tom through the Walls of the wind, he figured he shouldn't talk, his squeaky and high-pitched voice would be drowned out in this weather. In response, Shadekit took a staggered step towards the larger cat, feeling his fear melt away layer by layer. At the cats next question, he nodded vigorously, all he wanted to do is get somewhere safe, even though Submist probably couldn't hear him, Shadekit spoke anyways "thank you."
