Clearing her throat, she looked at her paws and meowed, "Well, you may not know this, but Soaringcrane and I recently became mates." The she-cat paused to look up at Sunsong, feeling heat rise to her face, "And, well. I expect we'll want to have kits soon but I'm just...I'm not..." Crestfeather closed her eyes and flattened her ears, crying out, "Oh, I'm just worried I won't be a good mother." A frown was creasing her face as she looked back at Sunsong, "Please, I was wondering if you could give me some advice? I really need it." Crestfeather's stomach felt like it was doing battle training and she suddenly wished she'd left the shrew on the pile.
Sunsong frowned at the shecat for a moment, she padded next to her and sat down, curling her fluffy ginger tail around the other molly. She gave a soft smile and sighed,"You'll never be ready to be a mother,Crestfeather. I have had two litters and Im still not ready," she gave a small chuckle. "You wont know what you are like as a mother if you never give yourself a shot. Dont be scared. If youre in a good place, have kits. You have all the time in the world to think, you know." she smiled. Sunsong had been a forever queen in the nursery for awhile now, and she didnt even feel like she was ready to be a mother. "Youll never be ready for the challenges youll face as a mother, but I can promise you itll be worth all of the stress, fuss, and trouble those kits will cause." she smiled more. She thought back to her own kits. They were a pawful and that was a fact, but ever since giving birth to them she felt nothing but love. She saw her life in a different way. "When you have kits, youll learn what its like to love something with all of your being, youll love them with all of your heart." she gave the molly a comforting nuzzle. "And youll always a queen to help you, I wouldnt mind making a nest for you and help watch the kits if you ever need my help, youll always have my support. Its not as scary as its made out to be."
