Lucky perked up her ears as she heard a cat's greeting, a shecat with fluffy fur, a white face, and pretty green eyes that now looked at her with confusion. What a pretty shecat! Lucky thought to herself. The cat looked much bigger than her though, and very strong. She knew that the news about her wanting to join Shadowclan hadn't gotten around to every cat yet, and the fact that Goldeneye mentioned he wouldn't talk about it openly made her doubt every cat would be as welcoming as Daypaw and he had been. Still, it would be better to tell the truth now, than be caught in a lie later. Afterall, she was new here and didn't want to give any cats reason to distrust her. "Hi there," Lucky said, her tail twitching nervously as the bigger cat approached. "My name is Lucky. I'm a friend of Daypaw and Goldeneye," she said simply. "I-I wound up in Shadowclan territory by accident. I was hurt pretty badly in a dog attack and Daypaw helped me. I was still really hurt when the flood happened, so they helped me get here." Lucky hoped that would be a good enough answer, but she suddenly realized in her nervousness that she'd been prattling. "Oh! I'm so sorry. What's your name?"

"Nice to meet you, Lucky." Halestar said, sitting and looking the other cat over. "I'm assuming you are feeling better as of late? Do you plan on permanently joining?" She asked, smiling faintly. "I am Halestar, leader of ShadowClan."

The large Maine Coon chuckled faintly as she waited for the reaction of the other cat.
